States of transition
The installation explores the contradiction of feeling at rest in unstable qualities. A line is drawn between psychological and physical processes by tracking moments of phase transition. Phase transition is a term from physics that is commonly used to describe shifts between solid, liquid, and gaseous states of matter, whereas I apply it to a fluid notion of gender identity.
I wish to find a place of endless daydreaming, a place where time is undefined through opening up, undoing and shifting space to inhabit the negative space. Rhythmically oscillating structures create the conditions for a fragile new state of dynamic equilibrium.
